Spartanburg Housing has been serving the community since 1939. We impact the quality of life for the families we serve through housing by promoting economic mobility, strengthening communities, and creating strategic partnerships.
Spartanburg Housing has evolved from the housing authority of the past to a change agent that focuses on resident relations, property management, and development. Since joining SH as CEO in 2019, and leading this resilient team, we have:
- Rebranded the agency as Spartanburg Housing.
- Strengthened our resident and community engagement.
- Served as a multifamily bond issuer.
- Revived our scholarship program.
- Rehabilitated an 80-unit community known as Victoria Gardens.
- Made homeownership a reality by way of the HCV Homeownership Program.
- Secured the Moving to Work (MTW) designation.
Looking ahead, we have focused efforts to effectively support families in Spartanburg County and create opportunities along the housing continuum. I am excited about what lies ahead. Stay tuned for updates during our journey.

MTW allows SH to design and test innovative, locally designed strategies that use Federal dollars more efficiently, help residents find employment and become self-sufficient, and increase housing choices for low-income families.
